A new Stanford women’s basketball app for iPhone and iTouch will launch at 5 p.m. today.

The app can be downloaded for users who search for Stanford women’s basketball. It will feature photos, team videos and news releases and access to head coach Tara VanDerveer’s Twitter account.

The app was developed by David Gonzales, the former Director of Photography for Stanford athletics, who is now a digital media/freelance photograher for appmakr.com. He worked closely with Stanford assistant coach Kate Paye.

This is the first team specific app Gonzales is in discussions to help other teams launch their own apps.
